A Brief History of the Earth's Climate

Everyone's Guide to the Science of Climate Change

My experience writing a book on how and why the Earth's climate has changed over geological time.

The climate of our planet has always changed—sometimes quickly, usually slowly.  This blog is about my experience writing a book that explores the natural processes of climate change and explains why human-caused climate change is completely different from anything that has happened over Earth's long history.

This book is intended for a non-expert audience. It will necessarily include a lot of geoscience and climate science background information, but all of that will be provided in accessible chunks.

Like most blogs, this one has the most recent posts at the top. But this blog is meant to have a chronological order, so if you want to experience it that way, I suggest that you start at the very bottom, and read up!
